1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Comfort Beacon ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Comfort Beacon provides daily wellness check-ins, medication and calendar tracking, and emergency alert notifications to designated trusted contacts. The Service is a wellness companion and is not a substitute for professional medical care or emergency response services.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Facility administrators are responsible for managing the residents enrolled under their facility.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
The Solo Plan is billed at $5 per month. Facility plans are billed as flat monthly fees based on the selected tier. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing cycle. Refunds are handled at our discretion in accordance with applicable law.
5. Trusted Contacts
Trusted contacts receive check-in updates and emergency alerts at no cost. By adding a trusted contact, you confirm you have their consent to share your wellness and emergency information with them.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including providing false health or emergency information, harassing other users, or attempting to disrupt the Service. Emergency alerts should be used only in genuine situations.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that check-ins, alerts, or notifications will be delivered without delay or failure, and the Service should not be relied upon as the sole means of emergency response.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Comfort Beacon and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any failure of an alert or notification to be delivered.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active users of material changes. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
